PRAISE GOD!

Once again I am reminded of God's faithfulness, my VISA arrived this morning!  A miracle, we don't see them everyday, but this was one!  I turned in my application just last Thursday and they said it could take up to a month especially this time of year to get it back, but little did they know that my God works in their office as well!  And low and behold this morning I got my passport returned to me with my VISA affixed!

Thank you for all your prayers!  Thank God with me for hearing our prayers, and for moving and accomplishing things I could not.  While you are at it Thank God with me that I am now sitting at 96% only $263 away from my full monthly support!  This too is God working in and through the lives of His people!  Lets spend the day praising God!

Prayerfully Consider

As most of you already know, I had originally planned going to Rome, Italy in January of this year.  When January came and went, I re-evaluated the amount of support and determined that I would try to make it by the end of June. Now June is almost over and I am currently at 93% of my necessary support and strongly feel that I, with God’s help, could reach 100% very quickly.

First, I want to thank you all for your support and prayers. I am constantly encouraged by your love and faithfulness to me and my ministry in Rome. I can’t help but adopt the words of Paul in the opening of his epistle to the church of Philippi: “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

My hope and prayer and recently purchased plane ticket  is to to Rome on July 7th and with your help, I may be able to reach that goal. I am in need of an additional $398 per month in order to reach 100% of my support. I am asking you all to pray about and consider increasing the amount of support you are already giving me by $5 per month. If have all of my 80 supporters increase their monthly support by $5, (which some of you already have!) I would reach my goal of 100%. Please pray about this opportunity. If you are able to give, please E-mail me back and see the information below to make changes to your support commitment. Thank you again and in the words of Jude, may “Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.”

To increase or commit to monthly support please visit GIVE NOW or call the ReachGlobal office at 1-800-745-2202 and indicate your donation for Trinity Kay #1671 Don't forget to call or email me personally to let me know!!!

BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT!

Today I turned 30 years old or in Italiano Trent'anni!  And it was a fabulous birthday!  Why?  Because I got all my paperwork gathered together for the second time and headed back to San Fransisco to the Italian Consulate Visa Office and THIS TIME GOT TO TURN IN MY PAPERWORK!  But to tell you that is to tell you only a portion of the story...

If you have been to San Fran you know that parking is ALWAYS a challenge, but not today, today we made it in time to stop at Safeway and purchase a Bridal Magazine (not for me, for Krista) since we knew we would be standing outside the consulate for 2 hours, we figured we had time to kill.  We got a spot to park at Safeway, and then we got another great FREE spot to park at the Consulate, and we did make it and ended up being the first in line, which in the end did not make us first, but did get us into the line of the Kind Man at the Consulate rather than the other one, with the lady who is well, lets just say, not the Kind Man. BIG GOD THING, because she handles all the Student Visa's and he handles the rest, so we should have been in her line, but God used her need for speed to get us into the Kind Man's line.

All this to say that God heard our prayers, and my paperwork is finally being looked at!  I have faith that it will all be approved, and the Kind Man seemed hopeful that I would get it back in time to get on a plane the 7th of July!  Did you realize that is ONLY 2 WEEKS from today!  I did not until last night, and now I can not think of much else!  2 Weeks, crazy how something that always seemed forever in the future, is now just 2 weeks from happening!

Since it is once again evident that God is working all things out for His glory and His good and perfect will, please continue to pray with me for the following things:

  1. The remaining $398 a month to come in before July 7th!
  2. Thanking God for the opportunity I have to share at Faith Community on Sunday!  Asking Him to bless my time there, and to use it for His glory, and to help me get the remainder of the support and supporters I need!
  3. That I will indeed get my Student Visa Approved and my Passport back before I need it to leave on the 7th!
  4. That God will be preparing my heart and mind and protecting my heart and mind and those of my family and friends as we say our farewells.
  5. That God will prepare and direct me as I get to Rome, that I will find the right apartment at the right price, in the right time, and that I will make new friends with my neighbors quickly!
  6. That all the little details will fall into place like they did today!
  7. That Brian and Sarah and I will bond  together quickly once again, and that we will be effective in ministering to the people in Rome and to each other.

Thank you all!  For your prayers, support, and friendship!

Leaving On A Jet Plane

Ahhhh!  SO Excited to tell you that I have Reservations to leave for Rome on July 7th!!!  Yea!!!

Things are getting close, and I am trusting that God will work out the final details, which include getting the last 11% of my monthly $645 a month before the 7th, preferably this week to make ReachGlobal as Excited as I am!  And then getting my Student VISA in record speed!  Friends I need your prayers for these two big things!

I have no doubt in my mind that this is where and when God wants me in Rome...too many of you are supporting me for me to have a doubt that this is His plan and desire!  Thank you for all your prayers and support this year!  You all have helped me get to this point in the Journey and for that I am truly thankful!!!

I am excited as I hope you are as well to see how God will provide the remaining support and the VISA!

PS. My 30th Birthday is June 24th this Thursday!  If you were wanting to join my support team or find someone else to join my support team as a Birthday Gift I would love that more than anything!  Just email me to let me know trinity.kay@efca.org  !!!

Got the Passport, but not the Visa

Well, like the title says, I got my Passport, but the visa requires a round trip ticket, so that was a no go.

However! You may have noticed that ReachGlobal was able to lower my monthly total because of the decline in the value of the Euro. So, that means I am at 86% and only need $850 more a month.

So, in 4% I can purchase that ticket, and get the visa process started, many of you who got my last newsletter clicked on a link to give, however if you have not given  before it could take up to a month for that to show up in my account, so if you just recently gave for the first time, or you are planning to give PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! Then I can count it!  Then I can get the ticket and the visa and go!!!

I have about 80 regular supporters, and so that means that if each of them could commit to $10 more a month I would be finished.  I know for some that may be easy, but for others they are already giving all they can.  So, do not hesitate, if you can give, $10 a month or $850 a month please let me know.

I am so close, but we need to have all these pieces in place in the right order to get me to Rome to start school and ministry there!

Also, enjoy the new ReachGlobal Rome Video!!!

Two Big Steps

Today my friend Jennifer and I heading to San Fransisco to accomplish two big steps on my Road to Rome,  so I ask for your prayers.

1st we need to pick up my New Passport!  God has already been at work on this, seeing as I mailed it in last week asking them to have it finished by Tuesday because I needed to have it to go to the Italian Consulate to turn in with my Visa application.  However God knows best, and knew that the Consulate which I thought was open on Tuesday's and Thursdays is actually open on Monday's and Thursdays!  So somehow He and the fantastic folks at Travel Visa Pro got my Passport done in about 24 hours!!!

You have figured out by now that our second stop is going to be the Italian Consulate.  Pray that God will be at work here as well!  Visa Applications themselves look simple, but there is a lot of other paperwork and details that one must provide to prove they are worthy of living in Italy.  Pray that I have all that I need, if you know me you know details and paperwork are things I dread.

Thanks for your prayers!

The Great Commission

Sunday is my Commissioning Service, I can honestly say that though I did dream of being a missionary when I was a little girl I never dreamed of my Commissioning Day.  I guess I spent my little girl years dreaming of a wedding.  Now at 30 I can honestly say I have spent the last year dreaming of this day, and not a wedding. My how things have changed.  I feel like in a way this is a very similar experience.  It is a ceremony to celebrate a commitment and a future.  It is saying farewell to life as I have known it, and hello to a life that God has invited me into.

Perhaps this is why I am so excited to share this big day with so many loved ones, friends, and supporters.  The best weddings that I have attended are those where the Bride and Groom are obviously surrounded and supported by their families, their friends and their support network who also are vowing to help this couple make their marriage work, to stick with them through thick and thin.  To encourage and equip them as they endeavor to  move into this new phase of life.  This is exactly what I hope this Commissioning will hold for me, that I will be spending this weekend leading up to my commissioning with friends from all over from different parts and times of my life all coming together to help me move into this new phase of my life.

Also, like a wedding and like me there will be a new (though not pricey) dress and of course shoes!

I am so thankful to all of you who have helped me reach this point in my life.  Thankful for the people that God has put along my path who have helped me to become the person God desired me to be.  I am  thankful to God for not giving up on me, for dreaming bigger dreams for me than I had for myself, and I am thankful that this day is one that I will get to share with so many loved ones.

In case you did not get an invite, please know that you are welcome to join me on my special day this Sunday June 6th 9:30am, at Felton Bible Church.  With lunch following.
